This journey wasn't always envisioned as a purely professional endeavor. Like many in the industry, the strikes brought everything to a sudden halt, leaving no safety net and forcing a reevaluation of paths forward. I've dedicated my career to film—pursuing formal education, accruing the associated costs, and navigating the relentless climb despite countless setbacks. Year after year, I invested fully in the work, driven by a deep belief in its potential. Along the way, I learned that raw talent or cherished ideas alone aren't sufficient; success demands unwavering clarity amid chaos, discipline in moments of exhaustion, and a network of allies who understand the grit required to see projects through.
I've experienced that intensity firsthand, sustaining initiatives without fallback options and emerging stronger. The frustrations of being undervalued and overlooked fueled a profound determination to create something authentic—one that confronts realities head-on, without illusions or softened edges. It's this resolve, born from navigating the wreckage, that propels me to forge a new direction with unyielding purpose.
MY // IDEA
I developed the RAPP // PERSPECTIVE framework after observing recurring failure modes in actual projects and ventures. Compelling concepts weren't faltering due to insufficient talent, but rather from avoidable discrepancies that emerged under rigorous capital scrutiny. Creative teams typically progressed based on vision and drive, while investors prioritized risk assessment, governance, and viable return pathways. Without early reconciliation of these perspectives, opportunities often stagnated or unraveled.
This model isn't designed to favor one side over the other; it's engineered to establish essential alignment upfront, preserving time, credibility, and investor engagement. The RAPP // PERSPECTIVE serves as my structured methodology for assessing viability, identifying remediable issues, and determining when further advancement is warranted.
MY // Background
From 2013 to 2023, I held progressively senior roles in film and television production, advancing from production assistant and secretary to coordinator, supervisor, associate producer, and producer. In these capacities, I managed key operational elements such as shooting schedules, vendor disbursements, cost reporting, and budget adherence across studio and network series, streaming content, and a feature film I produced.
This hands-on experience provided invaluable insights into how early decisions in development and pre-production manifest in daily operations, including call sheets, overtime costs, budget variances, and delivery timelines. I observed both successful projects that remained on track and those that challenged budgets, timelines, and team dynamics.
While larger-scale productions often had the flexibility to accommodate such variances, independent and smaller ventures typically did not.
In 2023, I transitioned to the finance domain, collaborating with private investors on film and IP-centric initiatives. There, I applied the operational rigor honed in production to financial modeling, incentive structures, and risk management.
My // Expertise
My work revolves around rigorously evaluating if a project or venture can truly hold up as a sound capital investment—drawing directly from the lessons I've internalized over years in the trenches. I dive deep into the critical details that investors and operators scrutinize, like crafting airtight budgets, building robust financial models, designing equitable waterfalls, optimizing incentive systems, mapping recoupment strategies, and allocating risks thoughtfully. What sets my approach apart is how I trace the flow of funds, pinpoint where real control lies, uncover hidden vulnerabilities, and ensure projected returns sync with the actual ways revenue builds and gets shared. Shaped by my time managing high-stakes productions, I always ground these insights in the unpredictable realities of execution, blending operational know-how with financial precision to deliver assessments that are as practical as they are thorough.
